  • 1 1/4 cup Wheat flour
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 sachet Saf-instant yeast 11g
  • 1 1/4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 1/4 tbsp Margarine
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tbsp Cardamom

 

TOPPING

  • 2 tbsp Cardamom seeds
  • 1 Egg

Pour the lukewarm water into a large mixing bowl and mix in the yeast.

Add the flour, salt, cardamom, eggs and softened butter or margarine. Mix until the dough has an even consistency

Knead for 5 minutes.

Cover and leave to rest for 45 minutes

Divide into 3 equal pieces

Cover and leave to rise for 10 minutes

Make a 3-strand braid

Cover and leave to rise for 1 hour

Brush with beaten egg. Decorate with cardamom seeds
